Considering the current international epidemiological framework and the declaration of the state of emergency by the Angolan Head of State, and in order to ensure the safety and health of our Staff and our Customers, taking into account the value of life and people, Banco Millennium Atlantico ("ATLANTICO") hereby informs and communicates the following:

  1. With a view to mitigating the effects of the current health picture ATLANTICO has temporarily reduced the number of Service Points open to the public, a measure that will last for the duration of the national state of emergency and the pandemic caused by covid-19;
  2. ATLANTICO is providing masks, gloves and gel for its Managers on duty and, where possible, will install means of temperature control at the entrance to its facilities;
  3. Additionally informs that specific measures have been taken internally, to safeguard and protect ATLANTICO's Human Capital.


II.About Technology Usage and Security

  1. The ATLANTICO recommends and encourages the use of technology and non-face-to-face means, namely:Internet Banking, ATMs, USSD (*400#) and Automatic Deposit Machines.
  2. The Bank assures and reiterates that Internet Banking, a remote banking technology used worldwide, holds the highest international security standards duly tested and certified.


III.On the Increase in CyberCrime Campaigns

  1. ATLANTICO alerts its Customers to phishing campaigns that in times of social emergency are more frequent, being most often triggered through the use of fraudulent links sent by e-mail.
  2. ATLANTICO reinforces the importance of: ensuring equipment security, using trusted computers (avoid shared computers in public spaces or cybercafés), having an active antivirus, using strong passwords, not trusting emails of unknown origin, and validating that emails that appear as from your Bank are indeed from your Bank. If in doubt about the origin of an e-mail contact your Bank.
  3. The Bank reiterates that it never asks its customers for a confirmation key or sends emails for their confirmation, and it is the individual's responsibility to ensure proper use of the user, password and confirmation key.
  4. ATLANTICO has always excelled and will continue to excel in rigor, confidentiality and security in its relationship with the market and its Customers.
