BANCO MILLENNIUM ATLÂNTICO TO ISSUE RECYCLED CARDS, REINFORCING ITS COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

Luanda, July 25, 2024 - ATLANTICO, a pioneering bank in the field of innovation within the Angolan banking sector, announces the launch of recycled cards.

In line with our commitment to sustainability and a greener future, we are pleased to announce that we will soon begin migrating to debit cards made from recycled materials.

This is yet another innovative initiative that reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. It also reinforces our alignment with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the importance of reducing the environmental impact of our products.

The new cards are manufactured using PVC, which allows us to maintain the same high quality and durability. Each card is carefully produced to ensure that customers can enjoy the same benefits while contributing to the preservation of the environment.

Domingos Marques, ATLANTICO's Director of Payment Methods, said: "Our mission is not only to provide our customers with quality products and services, but also to do our part to protect the planet".

The production of recycled cards emits fewer greenhouse gases compared to the manufacture of virgin plastic cards, thus helping to mitigate climate change.

Yuma Santos, Director of Sustainability and Impact, believes that, "By opting for recycled cards, we will be directly contributing to the preservation of the environment and encouraging responsible consumption practices. It is our hope that this step will inspire other companies to adopt more sustainable practices. The recycled cards will soon be available for purchase at all Banco Millennium Atlântico branches.
