
ATLANTICO LAUNCHES FIRST DIGITAL LABORATORY IN ANGOLA
Named Disruption Lab, ATLANTICO began operating the first digital lab in Angola in August 2018, which will be based in Miramar, away from the day-to-day banking business.
The Lab's main objective is to promote an ecosystem to foster entrepreneurship and digital innovation in Angola, through the aggregation of skills originated in Startechs, Universities and financial institutions, national and international.
The Disruption Lab (powered by ATLANTICO) aims to be an aggregator and generator of digital innovation in Angola, to lead the technological disruption efforts of the ATLANTICO Ecosystem through the incubation and acceleration of ideas with value creation potential, in order to ensure that Customers, People, Partners, Communities, and often competitors - competitors - benefit from the knowledge and experience provided by the latest technological innovations.
The business environment and large financial institutions are changing as a result of factors associated with new technologies, new strategies and new services. There is a duty for banks and companies in general to adapt if they want to remain relevant. This includes fostering the "intrapreneur" and "entrepreneur" spirit within and across organizations, respectively. Our digital lab is committed to actively promoting this spirit, traditionally characterized by passion, conviction and drive.
The LAB's operating principles are intended to:

- Integrate a critical mass of talent into a multidisciplinary team (mix of internal and external resources, including but not limited to new recruits);
- Guaranteeing the creation of know-how and expertise for the long term through training and certification programs;
- Implementation of consistent methodologies across the organization.
The Lab comes at a time when ATLANTICO is implementing its 2.1 Strategy focused on transformation, innovation and digitalization.
In order to achieve its purpose, the Disruption Lab is organized in multidisciplinary teams, formed by employees and partners from the startechs ecosystem, adopting and empowering the teams in agile work methodologies.
